How It Works
Semax is a synthetic peptide analog of ACTH(4-7) developed by the Institute of Molecular Genetics (Russian Academy of Sciences). It increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels and modulates the expression of BDNF and its receptor trkB in the hippocampus. Unlike ACTH, it has no steroidogenic or hormonal activity.
